Privacy Policy
Effective: 15 June 2026
This policy explains what information Bus Peek SG uses when you use the website or mobile app. The service can be used without creating an account.
Location
If you press the location button and grant browser permission, your approximate device location is used to sort nearby bus stops. While Bus Peek SG is open, the browser may continue updating that location so the nearby list follows you. The most recent location is kept in local device storage for up to 15 minutes, but is not stored in a Bus Peek SG user profile. Your browser or operating system controls location permission and lets you revoke it at any time.
Favourites and device storage
Favourite bus services are stored on your device. If you sign in with Google, Bus Peek SG also syncs your saved bus stop and bus service combinations to Firebase so they can be restored on your other devices. Bus Peek SG also stores the date of the device's first visit to provide the initial 30-day advertising-free period.
Account
Google sign-in is optional. When you sign in, Bus Peek SG receives account information such as your Firebase user ID, display name, email address and profile photo from Firebase Authentication. You can delete your Bus Peek SG account data from the Me tab, or review the steps at Account deletion.
Service logs
Hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, request time, requested URL and error logs for security, reliability and abuse prevention.
Maps and transport data
Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap infrastructure, and bus information is retrieved through LTA DataMall. Bus Peek SG may use the open-source ArriveLah proxy as a fallback for live arrival data. Requests to these providers may include standard network and browser information under their respective privacy terms.
Advertising
Bus Peek SG may use Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies to provide, measure, personalise and protect advertising. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's partner sites policy.
Where required, a consent message will be shown before advertising technologies are used. Available privacy choices may vary according to your location.
Your choices
- Decline or revoke browser location permission.
- Clear local favourites through your browser's site-data controls.
- Use browser controls to manage cookies and advertising settings.
- Review Google's ad controls at My Ad Center.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will be revised when material changes are published.
